Terms

Terms of use for this website.

Last updated 8 September 2026

What these terms cover

These terms apply to the website at openwatt.io. They do not cover the software products themselves, which are licensed separately, or any hosting or services agreement, which is a written contract between you and OpenWatt.

What the site is for

The site describes what OpenWatt makes and how to get in touch. You may read it, link to it and quote from it with attribution. Please do not scrape it in ways that load the server, republish it as your own, or use the contact form to send anything other than a message meant for us.

Product labels

Every product on this site carries one of three labels. Available means working software exists and we will show it to you. Building means it is being written now. Direction means design and intent, with no product yet. We keep these labels current so that nothing on the site implies a product ships today when it does not. Descriptions of anything labelled Building or Direction describe where we are going, not a promise of what you will receive or when.

Open source

Where a product is published as open source, the licence in its repository governs your use of the code. Nothing on this site grants rights beyond that licence.

No warranty for the site

We keep the site accurate and available as best we can, but it is provided as is. We are not liable for loss arising from reliance on its content or from it being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top tells you when they last changed.
